About Kari Logan ND, BCB, EAMP
Dr. Kari Logan
Naturopathic Doctor and East Asian Medicine Practitioner, herbalist, community witch, gardener, and plant lover
While my formal credentials name me as a Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist, in my work and in my daily life, I walk the path of the modern witch, weaving in the knowledge from my ancestors, the past into the present, to call into being a new and better future.
Essentially, I believe that we as humans are deeply connected to the earth and all living things. We are part of this world, not separate from or rulers over it.
And so, our work is to remember this connection that our modern day world has caused us to forget.
One way we can restore connection and create a more liberated world is through remembering our connections to self and repairing our nervous system, which was damaged by the narratives of capitalism.
I am a catalyst to spark this remembering, this shift for yourself.
I offer biofeedback, bodywork, and acupuncture so that you can find your way home, welcome in all the parts of yourself, and create relationship, connection, and community. Along the way, you’ll also be guided to reduce or eliminate the physical, mental, and emotional symptoms that have been ailing you.
As an herbalist, gardener, and plant lover, I’ve also been making my own skin care products since 2011 and founded Mae Botanicals in 2019, putting my unique touch and skilled training into all the products we offer from body butter to face wash
My training includes:
Bachelor’s Degree in Ecological Organismal and Evolutionary Biology from Western Washington University
Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from Bastyr University
Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University
Board Certified in Biofeedback with the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance
Current member of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback
Two year initiation through the School of Traditional Magic with Ylva Mara Radziszewsi
My Philosophy:
Foundational to my philosophy is the belief that healing is more than the resolution of symptoms; it is also making room for all the parts of our experience and starting the process of divesting from an extractive and colonial mindset.
Health is directly impacted by systemic trauma and the structures put in place by kyriarchy (settler colonialism, capitalism, patriarchy, white supremacy, and others), not only limiting access to care, but also making us feel less worthy of receiving it.
I am committed to dismantling deep-seeded systems of oppression and am proudly anti-diet and POC-, trans-, queer-, disability-, and fat-positive. I operate with reverence for the stolen land on which I practice, honoring the Coast Salish and Duwamish Peoples and their continued fight for federal recognition.
